Board Elections deadline Extended

The Secretariat is pleased to announce that the deadline for the Board Member and Certification Representative applications has been extended to Monday, May 28^th. To become a part of this dedicated team, nominate yourself for a Board Member position by filling out the application available on the Members’ Only Section of the GSTC website. If you would like to nominate someone else, please email GSTCmember@unfoundation.org with their name, organization, current position, nationality, and a letter of endorsement for the individual.

Global Sustainable Criteria for Destinations

The draft version of the Destination Criteria is available in for public consultation until June 2, 2012. We invite all interested persons and organizations to comment or suggest improvements. Your considerations can be made here in English, French, Spanish and Mandarin. Please see the GSTC Criteria for Destinations Press Release here.

GSTC Membership Rates

New Membership rates will go into effect on June 1, 2012. If you are interested in renewing at the current membership rates, please fill out the renewal form here. Your membership renewal will begin when your current 2011 or 2012 membership expires.

GSTC Council

The Global Sustainable Tourism Council is a global, multi-stakeholder membership organization dedicated to increasing the reach, awareness and recognition of sustainable tourism practices through large and small enterprise operations and to endorsing the principles of the GSTC Criteria. See more.

GSTC Criteria

The Criteria are guiding principles representing the minimum necessary for travel and tourism businesses to adopt to protect the world's natural and cultural resources while supporting conservation and poverty alleviation.
